Hello Robbc84 and welcome to our friendly peer to peer support forum. You will find lots of recipes in our topics section. This can be seen on the same page as our Pinned Posts which I'll post in link to further down this message, and on our Daily Diary.
We suggest all our new members join in with the Weekly Weigh In post (speaks for itself) and the Daily Diary where we exchange our meal plans for the day, plus anything else we want to share. Both these and our other Pinned Posts can be found here healthunlocked.com/weight-l... and you will see we have a fit is fun club and a reading club if you're interested.
We also run regular challenges, currently a minimalist challenge and whilst it goes into week 3 tomorrow, if you fancy it you can jump in any time.
We look forward to seeing you joining in around the forum xx
Hi Robb, is there anything here you'd like? healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
I'd say, with all your meals, think outside the box: food is food and you don't have to have A for breakfast and B for lunch and C for dinner. You can save dinner leftovers for lunch. You can have your main meal in the morning. It's whatever balance works for you - and what space and equipment e.g. microwave you have at work
There are some great ideas in Springers Specials healthunlocked.com/weight-l... with a new theme each month. And do have a look at the Daily Diary to see how other members plan for the day
2 egg omelette with mixed herbs and spices like garlic, turmeric, coriander, ginger and paprika with mixed salad or throw sautéed onions, peppers , tomatoes etc into the omelette. Some days - yes carbs but balance with canned fish and salad . We still have the odd jacket potato . Bean salad - so canned beans like chick peas and spice up with a dusting of herbs and spices. Cottage cheese an easy eat . Buy plain and jazz up with strong flavours like onion , tomato even throw in chia seeds etc as you won’t notice them . Like others mentioned warm up left overs . I make my own soup so the effort made is then a lazy ready made lunch . The odd sandwich won’t kill you but avoid loads of table sauces and look more for rye breads . Many people dread carbs but it depends what and what you add . My husband loves wholewheat cous cous with smoked paprika and herbs with a tin of tuna , mackerel etc . Try and get plenty of protein .
Hi Robbc84 I noticed you wanted your lunch ideas to be affordable. Can I ask what is your preferred approx budget for lunch ? and is it for you or a whole group like a family or partner? focused1 has lots of suggestions which are not super spendy.
