Hi Tyton, I am the same as you I need to lose around 30-35KG as my weight has gone up a lot due to me not able to exercise due to disability in the past I could easily lose weight without changing my diet all I did was to go running after work I started with just running for a few minutes then walking then running and kept that up for around 30 minutes then I managed to do a complete circuit of Sale water park then I stretched it to 2 circuits then 3 circuit's that was the first time I tried to lose weight I dropped 2½ stone at the time the next time I did it I used an exercise bike but I found out due to the monotony I could not do long enough on it so I moved the bike to my bedroom so I could watch TV at the same time as using the bike, I started with just watching the news then slowly stretched it until I would be doing 2½ hours a day in the end my friends asked if I had cancer as I had changed so much they said my face was gaunt so I cut back so I was keeping the weight off without a problem but after I stoped work I stoped using the bike as I had moved onto my sail boat out in the Caribbean for 10 years but as my disability has got worse even trying to stand up has become painfull if I am standing for 10 minutes I fall into my chair with relief so exercise is out for me I am now just getting bigger and bigger I am going to ask my doctor if I can be put on that new drug for diabetes which has a side effect of you losing weight I do have diabetes due to my weight so wish me luck to getting prescribed it.Good luck finding something that helps you. Regards Poppy Ann
You don’t need to do it on your own, lots of support on this forum. -join in with the threads and challenges that interest you. Are you following a particular food plan or regime? ’salad’ and ’circuits’ are rather vague so perhaps give a bit more detail of your daily meals and you’ll get plenty of advice and suggestions, I'm sure. General advice from most on here is that what you’re eating/drinking is more important than exercise as we generally don’t use as many calories as we think. That being said, exercise, both cardio and muscle building, is definitely a positive for those that can manage it.
good answers above… good luck with your weight loss journey, and hopefully see you in the Daily Diary or another thread!
Good to see you on. I am posting a thread below for a small group looking at reducing sugar and alcohol. If this is your thing we would be glad of you, just starting yesterday x 😎🌞😊😎🌞😊Good luck for the week ahead, Tyton
Hi Tyton, I am sorry to hear your weight loss has stalled. What is you calorie intact like? What is your weight loss plan?
I found that sometimes I needed to up my calorie intact to the higher end of my calorie allowance range for a week to sort of reset my body then bring it back downto mid and then lower end of calorie allowance.
You are not alone.
