I am currently weighing 13 stone which is the heaviest I have ever been. I am 5ft 5 and I’ve found myself in past year giving up on idea of ever loosing this weight. I know I can do it & I will do it but getting a new health regime off the ground is really hard. I am to loose 3.5 stone by end of June this year. I need to be accountable so checking in here again. I weighted 9st 6 pounds in summer 2020 and through a combination of intense work and also living alone/ being single from autumn 2020 for first time since 2006, weight has crept up.

Hello Glowup22, and welcome back to the weight Loss support forum
Remember that this is a journey, and all journeys have ups and downs. The important thing is that you are here and ready to go!
I've added a link to all the current groups we have, which includes the Weigh In and Daily Diary, which all offer peer support. And look out for the various challenges we have too - the next one is the Ditch the Sugar - I'll definitely be joining in with that one 😆

Give yourself some short term goals as well as your aim for June. Quick wins really help to boost me along and make me feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Have a look around and get reacquainted, and if you get stuck, just shout out - good luck 🍀
welcome back. Glowup. It sounds like you have been having a rough time. But now you are here and you are ready to change your lifestyle.
3.5 stone is a massive loss. I would suggest you divide it into smaller chunks and focus on those smaller goals and celebrate when you reach them.
See you in the weekly weigh in thread and perhaps the Daily Diary?
I understand you. I too gained a lot ot weight since 2020 due to a job promotion which turned to be very stressfull and I still don't know how to overcome this. My personal life as well had losses (partner and family member) and I am still not sure where I stand right now, but it is time now. The weight is heavy for us to carry. We need to drop it to feel better and free. And we deserve it. I am on this same boat with you. Good luck to us (and the "luck" is something we make for ourselves)!
Best of luck, and I would 100% break that goal down as others have suggested, and remove the time pressure. I realise you have the goal in your mind, but how about focusing on that first half stone, allow yourself to get into the swing of things then tackle the next half stone etc.
Looking forward to reading about your success!
