Older weight loss

Hi I am a 68 year old lady who decided to lose weight this year. At the end of May I weighed 10 stone 3lbs too heavy for my 5 foot frame. I was afraid as I was older it wouldn’t come off but on the 1 sept down to 8 stone 11. My goal is 8 stone 7lbs Calorie counting and walking an hour a day has done it for me so just persevere everyone

Great going Carrots123 you have done so well and the few pounds left to lose should be no problem. Then comes the maintaining phase, which shouldn’t be too difficult if you keep on with the healthy eating and lifestyle habits you have developed. Good luck!

Very well done! I am same age and have lost 3st9lbs so far and youve now encouraged me to keep going as everyone telling me i dont need to lose anymore. Thank you.sarah.

Well done!! I'm another 68 year old, not as heavy as you to start with but also aiming for 8st 7 at 5ft 2in. It has taken me a year (!) with a few ups and downs but I'm ounces away from my target. Just goes to show - its never too late!!

Hi Carrots, you have done amazingly well! I am overweight and need to loose it for health reasons, since mid July I have last a stone, reduced calories and lots of veg, pulses, fibre and protein. Started at 13.8 stone and as I'm 5ft 7in I need to reduce to below 9st
