Welcome!
Toning up sounds great - but are you really sure you need to lose 11 lb to be healthier? Or do you just need to exercise to feel more in shape?
I'm no medic and I'm not you - so feel free to ignore me!
But it might be worth checking out your BMI on: nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyw...
Have a great week!
Toning up sounds good, but I'd check your BMI as I don't think you need to loose any more weight.
I agree with the previous two posts.
What do your friends and family say about the way you look and feel? Sometimes we can be overcritical of ourselves and need to listen to other people's opinions too.
I'm sure you look absolutely gorgeous and a little toning will make you feel heaps better.
Good luck
ur thin compared to me///lucky u // dont worry be happy
With respect I think you have a problem your weight is good for your height!
Hi there
I agree with what everyone else is saying, for your height I wouldn't say you need to lose any actual weight, but it may be that you are feeling fat/podgy because you need to work on your body composition ie: Fat to Muscle ratio.
You could be in the category of what's being termed these days as 'skinny-fat' whereby your actual weight is suitable for your height, but you are carrying more fat than muscle, which according to health professionals, is equally as unhealthy as being severely overweight.
The solution is definitely exercise, focusing on Strength Training / Bodyweight Training / Resistance Training over cardio - you can of course include cardio, but make muscle development your main focus - that way you will build muscle which at the same time will burn off the fat. A healthy, whole food, well balanced diet will be key also, but at the right level of calories to maintain weight not lose it.
This won't change your actual weight, as long as you are eating the right amount of healthy whole foods (which is really important for muscle development) but your body shape, muscle tone and fitness will change incredibly.
Good luck
Cejw1356 You sound to me to be under weight for your height. I am 5"3 and my goal weight is approx 9-9.5 stone so I'm told. I wouldn't worry about losing any more weight but concentrate on toning up if that's what you need to do. Just my opinion
I do not know your age, but assuming you're probably under 40, in which case your BMI is under 20... at the lower end of the Healthy Range. Your actual weight is absolutely fine and is unlikely to affect your health in any way. But if its your shape you dont like, then exercise / toning may help.
Most importantly, ask yourself if this is really about your size, or something else that youre unhappy with...
Please listen to the advice below. I am only 5'3" and have been your weight albeit many years ago and it was too thin for me. Get toned and fit not thinner.
