Restart weight loss journey

I am above 50 years. I was on vegan diet 1 year back and was very fit ,motivated and lost 3 kg in 3 month. After that * don't know when I stopped all routines. Now I am near my previous weight. How can I restart again?

Welcome back, Fatema. I’m looking forward to hearing about your food. It would be lovely if you shared your meal plans in the Daily Diary.

I’m pescetarian myself- have been so for my entire adult life- and find that I have to be very conscious about how I spend my calories to get enough protein on the days where I don’t eat fish or egg. Especially now that I’m in menopause.

Getting started can be something small if the thought of making changes is overwhelming. A lot of experts focus on the importance of "The basics done well" which is something I believe is taught in the military and relates to the importance of the following key areas:

Sleep - Ensuring you get enough rest every night

Nutrition - Eating a balance of nutritious and non processed foods

Movement - Getting some form of exercise, it can be something like walking

Hydration - Drink plenty of water every single day

Quite often, getting these in order is the best way to begin!!
