I lost 3 stone with slimming world (which does work for me when I do it properly)an then I went in holiday an ate what I wanted in January an have put it all back on ,I've spent my whole life losing an gaining weight an have now seemed to lost my get up an go to start yet again I desperately need to lose weight as have arthritis in knees hips back an now I think neck but just can't get going, would love some ideas from anybody to re start brain an get back in the groove

I too had a massive loss and then a gain(also quite hefty). I was so cross with myself. You know how much better you feel without the weight.
This week a small, lovely group( by no means exclusive) have decided to have a Boot Camp, kicking sugar and alcohol into touch, refining our eating. Please come and join us xx 🙂🙃🙂
Hi Shazza I'm a Wednesday Wobbler. I have for the VERY first time lost a significant amount of weight. What I like about this group it's free, friendly and you can be accountable. Personally having done WW; RC; SW I am not doing anything other that cutting down and out some obvious things like sugary items and fatty items (Cheese, Chocolate, Alcohol, Cake etc) I am eating smaller portions, moving more and have learnt some great keys along the way. I cannot have a treat every day, I can only like to me. I have finally got my head around it. So I totally concur with Tabby and Hopalong. Come join in and welcome back and back to even less of you week by week!

Hi shazza52, I just would like to point out that if you hadn't lost the weight, then rather than being back where you started now you would weigh a lot more! Don't be disheartened because the effort you put in was not in vain! You've lost this weight once and you can do it again, just take it one day at a time 🙂 Maybe have a think and list a few reasons why you are doing this (to improve your arthritis for example), then when you are having a tough day you can look back at your reasons and remember why doing this is so important to you. Good luck!
Do what worked for you and if Slimming World really helped you then why not go back ? Some people slate these commercial slimming clubs but if this got you motivated and supported you then why not ?
Agreed . I felt my knees eased when I lost weight . Have a target of Monday morning. Buy all your food for your eating plan over the weekend and jump in with both feet . Mentally once I got going I felt great as I was helping myself

Hey Shazza. Whatever happens, you should NOT be disappointed with yourself. When something like this happens, imagine where you would be had you not started your weight loss journey.
Wherever you are now, it is far from where you would have been had you not started dieting. That is a good thing. Even if you are not moving towards your goal, you aren't moving away from it either.
You can do this. Have faith in yourself.
