Hey everyone. I'm new here but I would really like some advice. I've been on Slimming World for over a year and am now heavier than when I started. About three years ago I lost over 9 stone on Tesco Diets and got to my target weight. Then they closed down and I got lost and the weight started creeping back on and now I've regained 3 of the 9 stone. I can't seem to find the willpower to stick to any eating plan and due to sciatica in my back and bursitis in my hips I'm finding it really hard to exercise. I work in an office so spend 8 hours at a desk and I drive too and from work. I walk my greyhounds in the morning but once I get home I sit on the couch until bedtime. I've recently been told I'm lacking vitamin d in my blood but have too much calcium. I really don't know what to do to get back on track or get this weight back off. I'd like ideas of a diet that lists out exactly what you can eat (and measurements) for a day as that really is the easiest way for me to stay on track. I'd really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

Morning xanier
Welcome to the weight loss forum.
Our nhs 12 week program is a life style change rather than a diet and doesn't list food you can eat but goes on the amount of calories per day. For ideas of meals take a look under Topics on the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile for "Recipes/Meals/Snacks" which will give you some meals.
Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.
Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.
Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.
We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.
To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.
Have a good first week.

Well done on losing 9 stone xanier Fantastic! 😊
Try using the memory if this success to create faith in yourself. Evidence shows past success is the best indicator of future success 😊 You need to have confidence, it wasn't Tescos who were responsible it was YOU 😊
With regards to eating plans, have a look at this as an alternative way to count calories

Anna is totally right, you lost 9 stone which a lot of us still dream of doing. That proves YOU can. It wasn't Tesco. With the support of us fabulous lot, you can lose weight. Set yourself a mini goal - that 3 stone you have put back on can be gone by end of the summer. Well done for not letting 3 stone become 4 stone back on. You are addressing it and you can do it! 🤞
I know that feeling of losing control - bad habits are hard to break, and comfort eating particularly when you are on your own is just too easy to do. I lost 3 stone last year but this year have had a painful hip limiting my exercise and family pressures and a lingering disappointment over losing a house we hoped to buy....all this negatives build up which is why we struggle sometimes, and the weight is creeping back on.
Every day is a new day - we must count our blessings; plan some interesting activities to look forward to; make a (healthy) dinner date with a friend, (or a doggy walking date), look up some low sugar or low calorie recipes to inspire the chef inside you, think one day at a time - even one hour at a time and congratulate yourself for each achievement. You have come to the right place for mutual support and encouragement!
Wow, you've done amazingly well to be 6 stone less now than when you started! I am so impressed. I have realised that by joining in on discussions here that you really begin to feel part of the group, and everyone is very supportive! It's very motivating ☺
Well done with your past weight loss! It shows you can do it that should give you a boost or confidence.
The problem with eating plans that give exactly what you should eat is, once those plans are gone, or you get bored of them, you deviate away from them and gain the weight back. It's about learning sensible eating techniques of your own that you can adapt and stick to for life the NHS 12 week plan really helped me with portion control etc. So I definitely recommend it!
Hi did your doctor tell you your vitamin d level was low? Did they put you on any meds for it? If not then you need to start taking supplements but run it past your doctor first as it can interfere with any other meds you might be taking.
Don't overdo it as too much vitamin d can lead to liver problems.
