hi there, I had a heart attack 7 weeks ago, I have been advised to start a preventative cardiac diet/healthy eating. I am not overweight but need to do as much as possible to prevent further problems, can anyone suggest tasty recipes please?

Hi Goodhart and welcome to this amazing forum. I'm not sure how much we'll be able to help you in finding tasty, healthy ,cardiac friendly, meal ideas. This forum is about peer to peer support as we are not medically qualified, you're welcome to give it a try, maybe some other members are in your position. :)

I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way around. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads.

Have a good read of the pinned post “Welcome Newbies” and follow every thread.

Here’s the link to the pinned posts,

Here’s the link for the “Tour” of the forum. If you haven’t already taken it.

I strongly suggest you read and contribute to the Daily Diary ,

you will find there's loads of tips about better eating, from other members. Sharing your daily menu not only helps you stay committed, it can help other members too.

Good luck I hope to "see " you around.

A RECIPE FOR A QUICK TUNA AND SPINACH SALADFor 2 servings: 2-3 boiled eggs, a bunch of spinach (it's better to find small spinach leaves, they look much prettier in the salad 🙂 ), about 100g of feta, sun-dried tomatoes (fresh cherry tomatoes in season), boiled or canned tuna (80g).

Dressing: 1 tbsp. soy sauce, 1 tsp. honey, 1 -2 tsp. mustard, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 1 tsp. lemon juice. Whisk everything (alternatively, put it in a small jar and shake well 🙂 )

But I prefer to order cooked food here idealnutritionnow.com/pages.... It's just more convenient for me.
