Healthy eating

I have read up a little bit on this forum but I am a little bit confused here regading eating. Firstly where will I find the diet plan?

Secondly Counting calories I get very confused and not sure how to use it I prefer points.

Also is for example my breakfast rice cake with a veggie salad

Lunch Fish or Chicken with rice, potatoes and veggies

Supper Veggie soup and fruits

I also drink enough water a day

Is this filling enough as I do tend to get very hungry due to menopause.

I do tons of walking and jogging

Hi, I'll give you the links I gave you on the weigh in this morning.

It looks as though I didn't give you the welcome pack which includes a link to the NHS 12 week plan healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... Take your time reading it so you'll know what the forum has to offer and can make the most of your time here.

Here's the NHS BMI calculator that will give you the correct calorie range for your age, height and activity level nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we...

Here's another link I suggested you might find useful healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

And a related document worth reading phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

The best place to post your meal plans and get helpful feedback is the Daily Diary. You will find it under Events and it opens each evening for people to post their meal plans. Here is a link to Monday's. It has only just opened so you could pop over there and you'll get some advice. At a glance, I would think it is below your calorie range so check that out before you post in the Daily Diary, then you can get some proper feedback. It also looks as though it may be lacking in healthy fats.

If you head over to the Daily Diary now, you'll find it's underway with people posting their plans for tomorrow. Just check your calorie range so you can say what you're aiming for: no need to have everything worked out down to the last calorie :)

I am still very unclear about this calorie counting. I have never used it before and managed to lose. It is my only problem is that i have been eating sweets all day and I just couldn't stop but now that I see everyone else trying to lose that I am able to be more in control it is just this calorie is really making me so mad. So sorry I just can't understand how calories work.

Thanks I did have a peep at the daily menu already, now that my son is in bed I can have a proper look. In future I should only be on this site when it doesn't interfere with him. Sometimes I just get so carried away!

Calorie counting can seem a little confusing but can be really helpful. However, many people have great success with low carb eating, especially menopausal ladies, and find their appetites automatically adjust so don’t need to count calories, see the PHCUK link above 😊
