Hi and welcome, mandy112233 :)

Whilst I'm not saying that it's true for all, but some people diagnosed with fibromyalgia may have undiagnosed problems with their thyroid, so it's always worth doing a bit of research, as symptoms for hypothyroidism include, stubborn weight gain, pain, depression and anxiety. If you join the Thyroid UK forum, they'll be able to give you all the guidance you need healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk

Those steroids will also be working against you, by increasing your appetite.

This post should give you hope and be inspirational for you though healthunlocked.com/weight-l...

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... and we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially the weigh-in and daily diary.

If you haven't already taken it, here's a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best :)

I would say that u should focus on exercising your upper limbs more like bench press, resistance bands or a hand cycle. In my post exercise prescriptions there r guidelines for both asthma and fibromyalgia patients. I am sending u the link again. Which steroids u r on?

The asthma and fibromyalgia suggest to me chronic inflammation, the fibromyalgia because the inflammation is causing hypersensitivity, the asthma because the inflammation is causing narrowing of the airways. Chronic inflammation is most often caused by high levels of blood sugar which is also the cause of weight gain. High levels of blood sugar are mostly caused by eating too much refined carbohydrate like sugar and sefined starch like white flour and starches used to thicken processed foods. Inflammation can also be caused by refined seed oils such as in margarine and coocking oils. I would suggest only using butter, coconut oil, cold pressed olive oil or lard.
