Covid vaccination

Im having covid vaccine on Saturday can I still go for eye test on the Monday after. And I take 6-Mercaptopurine tablets daily along with other meds so can I still have the vaccine jab?

PAM - I'm no medic, id say the eye test is fine, if you've worries about your other meds then chat through with your GP. I'm 65, I've had the jab with no side effects, the NHS guidance does say you can continue with your normal activities if you feel fine. All the best

Hi PAMB55 Our doctor's has a covid advice line and they refered me to the doctor regarding another condition. I expect your optician will give advice too if you ring. Good luck with it. I am fine after Friday's jab x

Regarding eye test, most optometrists have been seeing patients as normal, with extra precautions of PPE and hygiene, and most have also had the jab. But your own optical practice will advise you if you have concerns.
