Slow and steady.

I found you all this month and so far I have lost 4lbs. Can't believe it! I feel a different person (still fat though) as I reckon I was eating over 2,500 calories a day and now it's 1,800. I can walk past chocolates, sweets and cakes when I'm shopping and I haven't been able to do that for years and years as I never had the willpower. Didn't think I had it in me to say NO.

My plan is to lose weight slowly but didn't expect such a loss so soon. I shall cut down to 1,600 and if I just stay the same weight next Friday I will be pleased as I still can't believe I have lost the 4lbs. All I did last year was put on weight . It was a bit of shock to realise how unfit I am as I was walking up a steep slope today and was nearly out of breath when I got to the top. I just want all the new members to know, that if I can do it then anyone can. Still early days for me but I am feeling so positive. ^.^

Thank you! I know it's naughty but I weighed myself again this morning just to make sure I did lose the 4lbs. Yes, I did! I've been singing and dancing around the house all morning. More calories burnt off. x

Well done that is brilliant! Slow and steady is definitely the way to go, though for me it seems strange (in a good way!) not being hungry all the time as my previous diets have mostly involved starving myself.

Keep that motivation and positivity going, and good luck! 🌺

Well done to you too! When I look back I wasn't properly hungry as I never had the tummy growls. It was a want rather than a need so now I'll have a spoonful of my husbands dessert and that does it for me. x

I know what you mean, alot of the time I would just eat for the sake of it, sometimes emotionally or out of boredom, or just because I like the sweet stuff. Even if I was so full up, I could always manage padding! 🌺

Haha, I meant pudding, but padding is pretty apt..!

Thank you! It is such a thrill knowing I'll never be my top weight again. Know what I mean? I am determined as I don't want to be that person again who hates herself every morning. x

It's lovely getting such supportive messages. I'm so looking forward to some good weather as I'm planning to walk by the sea every day. It will be like being on holiday as I hardly ever do that. x

It's good that you realised you were eating too much, too many people aren't aware of the amount of calories thy are eating. I used to have pizza once a week until I took the time to read the label and saw that one pizza was more calories than I should eat in one day. Keep it up and keep us posted!

I'm looking at my weight gain as a wake up call to exercise more. Don't laugh but I tried to run today and thought I was going to wee my knickers. I think it was too much of a shock to my system!

Hahaha, those people who are following the couch to 5k are my heroes! Don't strain yourself, keep it nice and simple, xx
