My treat for the day is to fit in a proper walk. I always try to get out but in the last few weeks other things have taken over and I just haven’t given myself time. My paw count is way down. I have a couple of ideas for a tramp across the fields and the weather looks as if it is going to be dry so I am going to give myself time.
What is your treat?

Nice treat, Squirrel !! I have thought of either a nice head message or bubble bath. I have made up a list of things that I was planning to do for a long time...this will be checked tomorrow
My treat for the second is an hour in bed before I go to sleep reading a Christmas themed book. I have a few on my kindle that I never read last year so will pick one tomorrow. So in bed by 9 planned so I don’t fall asleep reading 😀
My advent treat today changed... I went to the supermarket for some non food shopping and needing cheering up i bought a dress and 2 pairs of leggings. I've not worn leggings for about 20 years!!! The work trousers i bought in June (size 28) have been getting harder to keep up so i took a chance and bought size 22 leggings. I could actually have gone for a 20 😮😮😮. The top is another size down so pre healthy eating i was in 4XL or a 28. I did buy a couple of tops about 6 weeks ago (24) todays dress - a christmas one at that - is a 22 and its not tight. Thats certainly cheered me up 😀
So the bubble bath soak with a book is now my treat for wednesday xx
Today seems to be the day for bubble baths, Aussiegirl. Enjoy!
Hello Squirrel, I intended to watch a Christmas film Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately I didn’t manage it. I had a long telephone conversation with the healthy hearts team. I did a course about 3 yrs ago. They were checking up on me to see how things were going and if I would like to do a similar course. It will not be till the new year. I said yes. I will roll today treat to Wednesday. I will watch what ever is on channel 5.
I have a fingers crossed treat for tomorrow. Our Christmas tree gave up last year, and we have a really nice Christmas tree seller not far away, who sells rooted trees - so it would be really lovely to go and get one tomorrow. I do have a delivery coming though, so hope that will come early enough for me to go tree shopping.
A walk sounds like a lovely treat. I bought myself a rather cheerful festive mug (arrived today) so my treat will be using it for the first time (for a healthy hot choc and maybe my weekly 2 or 3 luxury truffles).
Thanks for hosting, SquirrelNutkin . Have a good walk. I have made a plan for Christmas. Today I bought some gift wrap. And tomorrow will enjoy a coffee in town and think about overseas cards. PippiRuns was asking me what is on the plan. For week one
Recycle books
Overseas post/ decs from loft/buy squirrels to remember this year feeding the little guys
Excellent list, Hopalong. I’m thinking it’s a to-do list, not a list of treats as it ha tidying, cleaning and moving on it 😃 But I love a good to-do list, it gives me peace of mind to know what needs doing.
They came so close to get the nuts in the museum gardens. Really gentle taking the nuts from our hands I have seen squirrel and acorn decs for my friend and I xx
Today I plan to wrap all the Christmas presents I already have, while listening to Christmas music - much to hubby's disgust who's considering volunteering for an afternoon shift at work to escape it!
Hey folks, this is wonderful!I managed to miss day 1 because I was working late, but not too late to finish up, put my two little ones into their PJs and read them three bedtime stories. Best thing after a stressful day.
Today I’m taking a half day and meeting a friend for chai in her garden, followed by some sunny work on the allotment. Bliss!
It's great you are doing this challenge again this year. Last year I used it get organised for Christmas but that seems a bit unnecessary this year. Christmas plans are up in the air as we are in tier 3. Hopefully that might change before Christmas. Giving ourselves treats seems a much better idea this year.
I have been working through the lockdown as I am a key worker so yesterdays treat was a lazy afternoon as I was very tired after a busy weekend and busy morning at work. Today I have a day off and I am babysitting my baby grandson as my son and girlfriend are working on their new house which they are moving into soon. My treat will be time to read the book on my Kindle while he is asleep. I have lots of books on it to read so I need to make more time for reading.
I thought I was going to have a challenge to find a treat for today, so wasn’t going to bother, but I have had two unexpected ones 😁. Treat 1 - My new Radley handbag arrived today. Treat 2 - my son has cooked a sausage casserole with very minimal help from me, so dinner is sorted. To finish it off, I have just sat down with my box set of Downtown Abbey - happy days 😁
I missed posting on my own Challenge how I got on yesterday and by the time I turned up it was locked.
Today a chilly and slightly damper walk than I’d planned, but great to be out in the fresh air and doing something for me instead of things I should be doing.
