Hi everyone, hope this encourages new people out there...
I’ve been on the forum since May (just over 12 weeks) and started out weighing 23st 4lb.
Like so many of us, life is busy. I work full-time and have a young family. I’ve had gym memberships on and off most of my adult life, but never got the eating bit right. At 34 something had to change.
Well today I weighted in at under 20 stone for the first time. While I’ve celebrated every stone coming off, this felt important. I can’t remember the last time I was this light, definitely not in the past 10 years.
Loosing weight has already changed my family life in terms of what I’ve been able to do with the kids. Having to buy smaller clothes has been amazing for self-confidence and my mental wellbeing. I’ve still go a long way to go (16st is the ultimate goal, but I’m nearly half way there).
Just want to encourage you to keep at it if you’re new. Results will come. Blips will happen. Some days you’ll feel great. Some days you’ll feel rubbish. Stick at it. Remember why you started. You can do this, and so can I!

Awesome achievement in such a short space of time! Massive congratulations! 🙆♀️🎉👏
You are doing really well UnitedRed getting below the 20 is bound to be a really good feeling, so true what you said about every day being different, I used to be easily put of if I had a bad day, but I am determined this time to carry on we are only human, if it was easy then nobody would be overweight or underweight, it is a struggle for us all, have a good week ahead 🌞❤️🤞
I think you are a star! Super achievment, and thank you, yes, you are inspiring and encouraging me, as I begin on my journey. Today I flopped.. I just feel the weight, and
ate some things (donuts) I should not have eaten..
I have the desire.. you show it can be done.. thank you x
Thanks for the inspiration. Having a down day today and your message has perked me up a bit. I think I’m being ‘good’ and then I get on the scales and have gained a lb so think ‘What’s the point!’ and so the cycle begins yet again. I could eat everything in the house today and it will be a battle not to. I have messaged a friend to see if she wants to go out for a coffee. If she doesn’t I will go shopping on my own just to get out of the house Good luck with the rest of your weight lose. You have made an amazing start. Well done you. X
Well done in getting down to 20 stone. Your making me open my eyes to the fact this can be done. I’m one of the larger ladies as well and your inspiring me to keep going.
Well done! That’s fantastic! You are an inspiration to everyone and shows it can be done. It’s a lovely feeling to feel good about yourself and get into smaller clothes. Keep going and you’ll reach your target 😘🙏🏻🌈👏
Wonderful to read of your success, and the obvious happiness it is bringing to you! Gives me incentive to keep at it, and keep pushing onwards and downwards.
