Hi everyone, hope this encourages new people out there...
I’ve been on the forum since May (just over 12 weeks) and started out weighing 23st 4lb.
Like so many of us, life is busy. I work full-time and have a young family. I’ve had gym memberships on and off most of my adult life, but never got the eating bit right. At 34 something had to change.
Well today I weighted in at under 20 stone for the first time. While I’ve celebrated every stone coming off, this felt important. I can’t remember the last time I was this light, definitely not in the past 10 years.
Loosing weight has already changed my family life in terms of what I’ve been able to do with the kids. Having to buy smaller clothes has been amazing for self-confidence and my mental wellbeing. I’ve still go a long way to go (16st is the ultimate goal, but I’m nearly half way there).
Just want to encourage you to keep at it if you’re new. Results will come. Blips will happen. Some days you’ll feel great. Some days you’ll feel rubbish. Stick at it. Remember why you started. You can do this, and so can I!
