Hi I do low carb, the best advice I can give is to take a look on the Diet Doctor site, theres a free two week trial you can do and the food is lush !

Would you also like to join us on our weigh in? Here's the link, I hope to see you there! :-) x

"Keto" is at the very low carb end of the low carb high fat approach. Most people follow a keto plan for a couple of weeks before moving gradually to a more relaxed low carb plan, as keto is very restrictive.

As Lytham says, the diet doctor site is good for information and for recipes. Here are two posts that will also be helpful

This is a Q&A healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

And this will help you get started with lchf healthunlocked.com/lchf-die...

I recommend you also join the LCHF forum.

I think Keto diet is very helpful for people, who have insulin resistance

Also Please take care of fat as well, Dr. Westman has mentioned consider more Protein intake and carb counting at start of programme only 20 gram carbs per day not more.

When eating protein, some leafy green will be helpful.

Hello and welcome, Alexandra110 😊

Good suggestion about starting a low carb plan with a couple of weeks at keto level i.e. below 20/25g of carbs, and the importance of adding in healthy fats.

You'll find all the information you need about the forum in our Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... including a Welcome message. A good place to start is by joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans.

This gives you a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true and, along with Pinned Posts, will show you how things work. I hope you'll become an active member and we will see you joining in around the forum 😊

PS the app doesn’t give access to all parts of the forum so we advise everyone to get rid of the app and log on to the full website using the browser on their phone
