Hi, I am new to this and have seen a few different types of diets mentioned. I am quite limited with food options, 1- im a fussy eater lol and 2 - have quite a few intolerances such as potatoes and milk. Which diet would you recommend me starting with? Need to be able to have a range of options really as honestly im the worlds worst and there is not many foods that i do like lol

I'm going to suggest low carb high fat because it works and is simple.

What do you like to eat?

Hello and welcome to the Weigh Loss Forum BookWorm1982

The best diet is the one you can follow easily, that’s enjoyable and without feeling deprived. Have a look through our Topics section and then pop, over to the Daily Diary to see what others are eating. It may be that a Low Carb plan will suit you 😊

If you haven’t already then please read the Welcome Message in Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... Please read it carefully so you can find all the information you need to find your way around the forum.

As a peer to peer support group we rely totally upon mutual encouragement. Nothing beats joining in, reading posts and replying to others. Our Group Weigh-in and the Daily Diary are probably the best places to start

Best wishes

Indigo 😊

Yes, understanding what foods you like would make this a lot easier. 😊

Are you up for making changes and becoming a less fussy eater? It may be that you'll need to, for a healthy lifestyle, including weight loss :)

Hi BookWorm1982 welcome to the weight loss forum. I hope you have had time to have a look around and see the various clubs which are hosted. I was wondering if you were interested in our book club "Read All About It". This is the end of the July edition, there will be a new edition every month.

Hello! I'm not following a diet as such... I find such things too restrictive. I'm just cutting out my bad habits (too much sweet stuff and snacking between meals) and making the most of the good habits (lots of veg and wholemeal foods). I enjoy my food and really like cooking healthily... for me it is about prioritising the time to plan and prepare.

You say you are "fussy"... do you want to change that or are you happy in your ways? No right answer... I'm sure you can find nutritious meals to eat within your own tastes. And if that makes it easier (especially if you are cooking for other people in your household) - then it's a winner! Follow the path of least resistance, that's my message... and if you suddenly develop a taste for goji berries and flax seeds... then roll with it :)

Good luck... I hope you stick around here and get lots of ideas :)
