Well it’s Friday .. almost the end of my first week of weight loss and I feel really positive with how it’s gone so far. I’ve stuck to well below my calorie target .. I’ve walked every day and I’ve drunk plenty of water. Even managed to stay off the bread.
The weekend however I think will be more challenging .. several things planned for mother in law’s birthday including dinner out tomorrow night and afternoon tea on Sunday.
I’m determined that I’m good to be as good as I possibly can and not undo all the hard work I’ve done this week.
Wish me luck ☘️

You're sounding positive and upbeat, JS Good to hear things are going well.
I always think the best approach is to eat as much as you can (of the right stuff) consistent with losing weight, rather than as little as you can get by on. If you've taken your calorie target from the NHS BMI calculator, that's given as a range in which you'll lose weight and going below that will be counterproductive.
About the weekend: enjoy your family time and meals: what you eat in one weekend isn't going to sink you: it's what you eat 95% of the time that counts
Will you be joining a weekly weigh-in? They're great for team support
Well done so far and don't worry about the birthday dinners etc. Its all part of normal life and as long as you don't overeat you will be fine. Enjoy it 😁
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
