Well following my heart attack I decided it was time to take responsibility for my weight and health and take time for me!!
I lost a stone between beginning Dec until lockdown. I put on about 5 lb and then joined a group which supports women in menopause and uses diet, mind set and education to do this. I have shed the 5lb and lost 3 inches from my waist and 2 inches hips. ( although the scales seem to have broken are currently stuck). I still need to loose approx 2 stone so here I am

Sorry to hear that you have suffered with your health. You're right, to take time for yourself...physically and mentally. It's something that us women find hard to do, for some reason, we're too busy looking after everyone in our families, that we often forget about ourselves (that's my opinion, anyway).
Chat again...and, enjoy the journey.
The people on HU are so very knowledgeable and helpful, not to mention, kind, and non-judgemental
That's a good start, and always useful to take measurements and have other signs of change, not just the scales. Have you been given any advice about how best to lose weight and keep it off? This is particularly useful for explaining what happens as we get older, especially with a history of yoyo dieting healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
You'll find all the information you need about the forum in our Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... including a Welcome message, the Daily Diary and the current weigh in: a good place to start is by joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans.
Take your time exploring. This gives you a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true and, along with Pinned Posts, will show you how things work. I hope you'll become an active member and we will see you joining in around the forum 😊

Welcome Graft01 to the group I find it a real support and I'm sure you will. Have you logged your food on the daily diary? It helps us to keep focused on what we are going to eat. And weigh in one day of the week. Hope you are keeping well since your stents.
Lockdown has a lot to answer for on the weight front. Many of us didn't realise how the weight was creeping back on, and we now have to hustle to try to shift it again.
