This is my 1st time in a forum like this but i made a decision today to change my life. Im 28 years old and 18 stone. When looking at my BMI it should be around 9 so i have a lot of work to do to half my weight.
I dont really struggle with diets but usually only last a couple of weeks before i completely lose control. And im really going to try and be more active!!!
Anyways, thanks in advance for any support and tips that you guys can throw my weigh (get it 😜).

Wow! Thats amazing in 6 weeks, how have you done it? Are you a specific diet or is running round after the twins? 🙈. Yeah i had a baby last year and now i have a fairly good routine with her its time to concentrate on me!
I feel you there! I think mine are getting there with a routine.... I just need them to sleep through the night!!
I started off doing recipes from the pinch of nom books - they are really tasty!! However I work full time and then chase the twins so I found I didn't have the time prep meals so went back to easting rubbish. So I started the Looking Great from Asda range. its like slimmest but cheaper and the shakes are nicer!
I usually have a shake in the morning, a bag of crisps under 99cal for a morning snack,
lunch is a meal replacement bar with an apple and chocolate treat (usually the sliming world HIFI bars) and at tea time I have a meal with the husband that is 600cal. Ill be honest sometimes I add in another packet of crisps or a bite of the kids pizza if im inclined!
I also drink 1.5-2L of fluid and its much easier for me to fit in rather than al the toast, cheese and crap I used to eat! xx
Haha, yeah i have the routine sussed during the day with my little one, but 9 months on and still hasnt slept through the night 😂
Ahh, im so glad because thats exactly what ive started to do, got slimfast shakes and meal replacement bars for breakfast and lunch and having low cal dinners with hubby!! Sounds like we are in same situation 😊.
Would love to hear how u are getting on and hope we can help motivate eachother
I found it! on the right of the screen there is 'weigh in for Monday 29 June for Monday mass movers', click that and write your pose you have until 9pm x
Just realised you’re a returnee Chasarama . . . I replied to your New Year Goals and number 2 was starting a family . . . I see you have been successful. And Twins! How lovely 😊
Im impressed you can still see that!! Yes, these guys are my second set of twins, the first set sadly didn't survive. So now I have a little girl and a little boy who love playing and stories!!!
Congrats on the Birth of your twins Chasarama. You like me sound like a busy mummy. We need to priories our health as much as our children or we won't be able to run around and enjoy our children the way we want to. I have equal amounts of weight to lose and I'm only 3 weeks in with 2 steps forwards and 4 back and no good results yet. However I'm not going to give up and seeing your success is going to spur me on.. Any tips for me? Wishing you all the best on your journey. 😊
I feel you with the 4 steps back I spend the whole first year after the twins were born bouncing up and down it was so de motivating!!!
I don’t know about tips but what i have done which is working really well for me so far is brainstormed my pattern.
So i figured out when i binge is usually in the evening so now i have my main meal late after work so around 7/8 ish (can be 9pm depending on shift finishing). I know not many people like eating late at night but I do!
At work Im surrounded by crisps and biscuits and lots of nice things! So i pack a meal replacement bar and 3 snacks that are each under 100 cal and that is my lunch.
For breakfast I’m usually getting the family sorted and running late so i have one of the Asda looking great shakes.
I drink about 1.5/2l of fluid. So far it has worked with my busy day!
What are you doing? Is it useful! I love cheering people on so ill have your corner!!! Xx

Best wishes to you both in your weight loss journeys
Very best of luck with losing the weight you want to. You can do it, stay in touch with people on here who are all on the same journey and together we can motivate and help one another when it gets hard. Evening having 1 walk a day will help you don't need to turn pro athlete. Well done already for making the decision to join through this forum, you will smash it I'm sure. 👍
Well done Betty you’ve already taken the first step. For me I have decided I am not going on a diet. I am permanently changing my diet and the way I eat on a permanent basis.I am not going to state the obvious at what are healthy and unhealthy foods. The changes you make need to work for you. If you restrict yourself too much you will find it more difficult to keep up. This is a great site for chatting to others and getting good support xmd advice. This for you could be a life changer. A wish you every success.
Around d 9yrd ago I went from 18.5st down to 13st. I kept it off until recently when I put on 2.5st after retiring and having heart failure and atrial fibrillation. I am slowly on my way back down again currently 15st. Harder when I cannot exercise as much. My secret was easy really don't know why it took so long to work out. I was overweight for 20yrs hence the ducky heart. Eat what you like in moderation, calorie count I used My fitness pal, 1500 calories and move more. I swam every day building up from 2 lengths to 50 or 60 and I walked every day leaving the car as far from buildings as possible and going for walks at weekend. I used the bike and treadmill at gym to get started. After years and years of yo yo dieting I am not sure why that time it just clicked definitely a mindset but I had a great 8yrs being really fit and healthy. Currently having to look at what exercise I can do but will lose this 2st and more to continue enjoying life. Good luck it can be done. X
I was Where you was in January this year 18st im now down to 14st 7lbs and im 26 years what worked for me is low carb / keto you have lots of energy i don't drink caffeine anymore and you feel good in general even if you've not had much sleep your still energetic it also manages digestive issues and your skin becomes clear and bright hope this helps
My advice as a 58 year old 18 stone person is don’t look at the end target 🎯 lets just look at half a stone at a time , remember runners can’t just run a marathon they have to build the miles up gradually , let’s run this race together and enjoy the scenery
I am in total shock , I had my first weigh in yesterday and have lost six pounds !!!
I decided to use a carbs calculator , when putting in my weight it says I should eat around 1.655 calories so I’m trying to stick to 100. Carbohydrates a day and 1.655 calories. I have also been doing a 12 hour fast so eating between 12-6. As I’m in the right mindset ( at the moment lol ) it is working. I also measured myself as some weeks we won’t see a weight loss but see inches go . I lost 1 inch from my bust and waist. Hope this helps and you have had a good week
Yeah, ive been really good with the diet, i just want to increase my exercise but have a 9 month old that wont sleep so up all night and havent got much energy 😂
Weighing myself on monday so gotta get through the weekend 😬 xx
Oh hun my granddaughters are just under two years old and I sympathise with you with getting them into a decent sleep pattern. When I worked nights I noticed the following day I just craved carbs and sweet things . You can do this just keep in mind Monday is weigh in so maybe save the treat you might have at the weekend till Monday x
