Changing my eating lifestyle to healthy living.

Hello guys,

I am happy to be here, i'm quite over weight now and looking forward to losing 20kg in 3months. I know its possible with joint effort from the group and I. I'm very dedicated to my diets if really want to, but I would be needing a healthy meal plan and recipes to help me kick off to my desired weight and healthy living lifestyle. I have heard testimonies and hope to give mine someday. Feels good to me here.

Welcome aboard ! Would you like to make a start by posting your meal plan for tomorrow on our Daily Diary? It's a great place to check out what everyone else is eating, here's the link, hope to see you there! :-) x

I think 12 Kg might be more realistic however it all depends on how big you are. Good luck Fab I’ve a lot I need to lose too.

We are here for you but please be careful with big goals on a small amount of time so you won`t lose motivation.

Let`s do this together. Have a nice week.

Hello and welcome Fab_mau,

We don't have meal plans here to hand out, but we do have the Daily Diary where you can see what others are eating and put your own menu for the day. You will see the different plans that people follow and will get feed back on your own.

If you are looking for a healthy plan then I think that you would find this very useful,

Be careful of setting large goals for weight loss, better that it comes off slowly with you eating properly, than quickly and you starving yourself. If it comes of quickly, it will probably return just as quickly. Set your self some small goals along the journey :)

If you haven't already, please take the time to read the Welcome Newbie post, this will help you to navigate the forum, which is best done using the full website and not the app.

Please also take a look at all of the Challenges, Clubs and Events that we have, to help to keep you motivated and engaged with the forum.

The above link will take you to all the information you need. Participation is key to success and I would recommend that you at least join the Daily Diary and a Weigh In day of your choice. Today's weigh in will close at 9pm this evening and I am sure that they would be very pleased to have you join in with the team :)

As a peer to peer support group, we all benefit from encouragement and support from one another, so look forward to seeing you join in around the forum :)

Wishing you the best of luck on your weight loss journey :)

The best results appear to come from not losing weight too fast. 1kg/2lbs per week is often quoted as a healthy speed (which can be a little faster at the start). It also gives your body a chance to change its shape without ill effects.

I have spent 30 years planning how much weight I was going to lose by when. And not actually then losing it. My two pence worth now is to find a way of eating that you can lose weight on & let your body take care of the pace. I have lost my weight on a low carb diet and feel fantastic on it. Even if it took a year to lose that 20kg, what does it matter?
