Gained 5 kilos since lockdown yet have always cooked all my own food and rarely eat junk.
I Don't believe in diets as everyone who takes one struggles for months , looks gaunt for a bit them puts it all back on and more. I have no willpower, don't want to yo-yo or learn disgust of food.
Diagnosed with AF some years ago and scared to exercise although I know I need to lose about 20kgs.
I get very breathless if I do anything uphill. Perhaps it's the medication? ( Bisodol, amlipodin ****statin)
Worried I could have stroke/ heart attack/ diabetes before end of lockdown/year. Don't really understand AF and just get more scared when I look it up.
Wondering when it's safe to see a doctor again or how to lose weight without diet or exercise?

Sorry to hear you are struggling. Of course, your GP should be your first point of contact so do not hesitate to call them.
My mum was also diagnosed with AF. She was told that exercise can help strengthen the heart but exercise, but to take it really slowly. She started with walking slowly for 30 minutes every day. Then, when that became easier, she added an extra 10 minutes of daily walking a week. Eventually she got quicker and fitter and started the C25K programme and although it took her longer than the initial plan, she can readily jog for 30 minutes! It’s all about building up from where you are comfortable. I also know there are lots of low impact workouts on YouTube that might be worth investigating!
Again, this is just from my experience so speak to your doctor!
