We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
Stop blaming yourself for your failures. It's baked into the diet. Coming back with the same approach, thinking that this time you can conquer your biology with will power will end the same way as before.
Try cutting the carbs right back. Maybe do something dramatic like Fast800 for a month or dietdoctor.com/low-carb/ket...
I did Fast800 for a month, and at the end of it I realised much to my surprise I could live well without carbs. It's going to be harder when cafés reopen, but I can do it.
How did you like the Fast800 SB? I’m back doing 5:2 and find 800 calories quite acceptable for 2 or 3 days a week but not sure I’d cope with it for a whole month, sigh 😕. I need to do something
I didn't follow it strictly. I had one or two meals a day, depending on how hungry I was. My main meal was in the evening, but if I couldn't wait, I would have a smaller meal at lunch time or mid afternoon. I always ate enough in the evening so I felt full. Calories were between 500-1200/day (not including Christmas day!)and averaged somewhere above 800.
Maybe rejoin with a new upbeat name! Drink water throughout the day. Plan what you are going to eat . Buy lots of yummy fruit. Just miss out the crisps and biscuit aisles in the supermarket. I've just joined and I get the feeling everyone is here to support each other so we're not on our own.
