How many calories should i be taking

Hi there in a 49 yr old lady 5" 3" and weigh 15 stone 12 pds it says I've to eat between 1600 and 2100 doesn't that mean to lose weight or stay this weight how many fewer calories must i have so I lose weight

Hi Lins69

That is the NHS BMI range to lose weight and enjoy the process so that you can stick with it! We recommend that you start at the higher range so that you can discover what suits you to lose.. You will be pleasantly surprised - like the rest of us! 😉

So if I have maybe 2000 but earn calories from walking I'll loose the weight

Yep, aim for 2000 - 2100 and enjoy planning in advance, the daily diary is really helpful to keep ourselves accountable.

I would suggest you ignore the calories from exercise (unless it's huge amounts) and enjoy it as it is.. a bonus.. (just my opinion).

I agree with Minniewinny . I used to run a lot and would eat at the top of my allowance on exercise days an at the lower end on rest days. And it worked very well.
