Today I’m starting my weight loss journey , I’ve been here before , I’ve lost the weight and then comfort ate it all back on over the years when life gets stressful
I’m now ready to embrace a change for myself , to feel physically free of the extra poundage
I enjoy exercise and walking already but won’t it all be so much easier without dragging around my extra portions
My weak time is definitely evenings when we relax, does anyone else get willpower wobbles in the evening?
Many of us have had or do have the evening wobble, the best bit of advice I can give you to stop this from happening is to add plenty of good fat to your eating plan and cut the carbs.
The fat is satiating and will not make you 'fat', the carbs just make us crave more and more food
If you haven't already, please take the time to read the Welcome Newbie post, this will help you to navigate the forum, which is best done using the full website and not the app.

To share a possible solution to 'willpower wobbles' just posted in another thread:
3 possible solutions:
1. A Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) diet, Very low sugar, cut out most potato/bread/rice/pasta. Loads of veggies. Full fat instead of no fat foods (in moderation). Meant that cravings and hunger pangs are hugely reduced.
2. Intermittent Fasting (IF) 14:10. A mild form of IF that means I commit to myself only to eat between Breakfast and Dinner across a 10-hour eating window (typically 10.00am to 8pm). Because the pangs are reduced due to step 1, I can keep to it.
3. I drink some sparkling water of an evening if I get the mild rumblies, just to have something going inside.
I’m only one week in, but evenings are certainly a tricky time. I have started drinking peppermint tea, it’s quite tasty so sometimes it does just do the trick and gives my hands something to do.
Yes, I get hungry in the evening if I haven't eaten enough/properly during the day. Make sure all your meals have some of the good stuff to keep you feeling fuller for longer i.e. some protein and healthy fats. Use the Daily Diary (lucigret has given you the link) and keep your own record of your meals so, if you are hungry in the evening, you can look back and see what changes you could make for the next time.
Note, I don't recognise it as willpower wobbles, it's likely to be just plain hunger because of insufficient food or not the right balance. Nothing you can't fix
Hello plum8 I'm loving those terms poundage, and willpower wobbles, they both describe me too. Good luck and I'm looking forward to hearing about your progress xx
I only started a couple of weeks ago and have had a few blips along the way. Mostly down to evening nibbles and wine and lack of willpower. I never thought this could be down to actually being hungry and that I wasn’t filling up on protein and good fats as people have suggested so this has given me food for thought. I always assumed it was because it had become a bad habit that I couldn’t get away from.
