Hi
This is my first day - weight is 10st 4lbs. I’ve just started exercising again and I want to loose 11lbs by December. I’m nervous because I always fail to loose weight quickly and give up so I need to be patient!

Welcome to our friendly and supportive forum Tauty,
There is no need to be nervous here The ideal amount to loose a week is 1 to 2 lb. The best way of doing this is to make sure you check your own personal calorie allowance on the NHS BMI calculator and stick to just under the top end.
If you cut down to low, your body will think it is being starved and will hold on to the weight and you will feel hungry and give in. There is no need to feel hungry.
Weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off than weight lost quickly. What ever you do needs to be sustainable - think healthy life style - not diet
