I am hoping to lose weight, I am new here and not to sure where to begin. I also suffer from ibs and depression so finding losing weight a struggle, and advice would help.

Hello ashwhisper and welcome to our Forum. You've made a brilliant start by coming onto the site AND by posting 👏👏. Keep coming and exploring our site and joining in and you'll find everyone very supportive. The best way to begin is to have a look at Sundays Daily Diary( you"ll find that page in a link I'm about to give you) abd you'll see how people use the page to share ideas and learn from.eachother and then you can also put your own meal ideas on Mondays Daily Diary page which has just opened.

Please note, don't use the HU App, it is much easier to use the website.

We recommend that members join a Weekly Weigh-In, on the day of your choice, and also use the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans and get useful feedback. They are found under Pinned Posts (go back to the link I gave you above)

A special feature of our Forum is the degree of support between members which you will experience (and add to yourself !) as you join in and chat with others.. Any questions just ask, we were all starters on here once and you'll find people are happy to chip in.

Heres link to Mondays Daily Diary(see beliw) but have a look at Sundays first to get an idea of how it works. People use various ways of helping themselves lose weight. Some use NHS 12 week plan, others counting calories and others low carb high fat .

As a start, reduce use of sugar (this might interest you youtu.be/eKQWFJmCWZE )

increase use of vegetables and reduce use of processed foods (like sauces in jars which contain a lot of sugar). Avoid corn snacks (crisps/ doritos etc)and stick to fresh home made foods as far as possible
