Hey all I’ve just downloaded this app so new here my name is Lizzie and I’m here because I really need to loose weight I’m nearly 15stone biggest I have ever been 😭 need to get my head in the game and loose at least 4/5 stone I’m really bad at following diets but really really need to loose weight any tips and help would be much appreciated

Hi Lizzie, Welcome to the forum . My suggestion is that you use the web page as opposed to the app. until you know your way around this forum. I spent quite a lot of time following all the links in the welcome message. There are lots of different feeds going on. Once you know where you want to go it's easier.

Are you going to join the Daily Diary, it's a great place for sharing plans and getting tips.

It isn't you, diets don't work for anyone. As soon as you get to the end and start eating "normally", that pounds pile back on, usually bringing others with them. I suggest you ditch the idea of dieting and go for real food, home cooked, plenty of veg, healthy fats, whatever meat and fish you like; avoid processed stuff and that includes anything labelled low fat or light or diet. That will be suitable for you and the family, both for your weight and general health.

Forgot to say: don't use the app: it doesn't give access to the whole of the site, which can be very frustrating: ditch the app and use the website, whatever device you're on :)

Thank you so much any ideas on where I can get ideas on meals etc.. I’m not very good at cooking 🤦🏼‍♀️

Two areas: -

- the Daily Diary, where members post their meal plans: they're always happy to talk about cooking and recipes

- Topics, where there are lots of different recipes for mains, salads, soups etc.
