Hello everyone.

I’m new to this site and can see how supportive everyone is to each other 😀

I'm aiming to lose 21 lbs all in all and after 4 weeks I’ve lost 5 lbs. I think I'm a 🐢

Hello Pangolin43 and welcome to this Forum! 5lbs in 4 weeks is good!!! Lookjng at last years statistics on here the average loss per person was 0.7 lbs🙂 Its not just losing weight, its keeping it off so slow and steady is find dont worry.

You will have been sent a Welcome post on registration which gave you advice and guidance on how to navigate this site.

Here's a reminder link to that Site Guide.

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

There's a lot there but it's worth taking your time to read, honest! There are links within the above to pictorial guides to the site so do explore it.

We recommend that members join a Weekly Weigh-In, on the day of your choice, and also use the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans and get useful feedback. Have a look at todays and see what they're like. We also have a Drink- less group, Book club,Fit is Fun group, Gardening ,share recipes...and much more!

A special feature of our Forum is the degree of support between members which you will experience (and add to yourself !) as you join in and chat with others.

All the best on your weight-loss journey ! 😊

I think you've done brilliantly Pangolin and should carry on at the rate you are. It means you're eating at a pretty sensible rate and enough so that you shouldn't get too hungry.

Speed things up and the opposite occurs and potentially worse.

Hi Pangolins. I think you are doing incredibly well. 5lbs is amazing. Imagine 10 blocks of lard! It's a lot! Well done.

Hi, Pangolin43 , welcome.

Five pounds in four weeks is OK.

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
