Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum Unicorn24 😊

Well done on taking steps before your weight becomes a more serious issue. You will have been given links to Pinned Posts when you first joined but I am also going to tag you in the Welcome Newbies post which gives lots of links and information to help you. Please read this are fully as it will guide you around the workings of this Forum.

This is a very busy forum with lots going, and nothing beats joining in, reading posts and replying to others. Our group Weigh-in and the Daily Diary are probably the best places to start.

Best Wishes in your weight loss journey

Hi, Unicorni24 , welcome.

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works for weight loss and health, is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Hello and welcome.

It seems daunting, but just begin by focusing on one day or even one meal at a time.

On the first day take your measurements- weight and tape measure (if you have one) or pair of jeans (if you don’t).

Then take some time to decide what you what to do next, (what strategy & what recipes you want to try), reading the helpful links sent to you.

For a steady introduction into exercise I recommend the couch25k podcast. It might not be the ideal time of year (you could do it on a treadmill if you have access to one). Small changes like taking stairs instead of lifts, or walking from one bus stop earlier also add up.

Good luck, and keep checking in on the forum for support.

Cheers,

Sarah
