Hello new to the forum.

Tried EVERYTHING, nothing works, looking for inspiration

Ah, but you haven't tried everything. You haven't tried the method that works :)

It's less complicated than the dieticians make out. A lot less complicated.

1) Eat proper food (vegetables, meat, eggs, dairy) and lose all the rubbish that comes in packets and jars. Unfortunately that means 80% of what's on the supermarket shelves is off-limits.

2) Stop eating low-fat products, and stop buying ultra-lean meats and butter substitutes. Natural foods have fat in them. Again, you'll struggle to find anything in the supermarkets that hasn't been messed with, but it'll be hiding in there somewhere.

3) Dump the stodge and the sweet stuff. White bread, cakes, pasta, potatoes, breakfast cereals. There's nothing wrong with these things as such, but we eat waaaay too much of them. They're only available cheaply and in abundance because they're massively subsidized. When you eliminate them, you'll find you stop wanting them as long as you adhere to (4).

4) Don't starve yourself. Eat until you're full. If you do this, you won't feel inclined to pick at snacks all day. If you've taken (1) to heart you won't have snacks in the house anyway.

That's about it really.

Hi, Swil123 , welcome.

Weight loss is not all about motivation and masochism - if you "slim smart" it is not so hard!

Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Thank you - today I looked through the site for breakfast ideas, a start, and ate a vegetarian omelette. There are some great ideas, I will follow your advice.

A good breakfast choice. I had exactly that for my breakfast yesterday too. Eggs, tomato & spinach in mine , plus a spoonful of grated cheese. A good start Swil123 😊
