Hello, I'm a newbie here. My name's Jake or 'Cub' whichever is easier for you to type. Anyway, I'm here to get some diet and exercise advice if possible so I can lose some of my flab. Specifically, my specialists are recommending a low carb diet (keto) in relation to a Glycogen Storage Disease but I find it hard to know what to eat. I know there are a ton of pages on the internet and FB etc for ideas, but I struggle with knowing and planning exactly what to buy and how much of each item to buy each week. I like lists with specific details, probably due to my Autism but like any lists where it would tell me what to buy and the exact amount for a week's worth of meals would be ideal (and what to use to make each meal and meal times if possible). So.....could anyone help or advise me, please? Thanks in advance

DietDoctor is all about Keto and Low Carb High Fat eating. They have a lot of lovely recipes that you can access and you will be able to work out your shopping list from them and plan a menu for the week. As for times to eat, that is up to you, what do you do know?
If you are eating 3 times a day you can still do that, or you might like to only eat twice a day, maybe at 1pm and again at 6pm or 7pm.
I hope that you find this useful, I am afraid that I do not know of any specific lists. Do you have anybody that could support you in writing out a menu and then making an appropriate shopping list?

Hi Jake, as above, dietdoctor.com website is brilliantly useful, and there is also the low carb forum here on this website too healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet
Apart from that, I just stuck a one page guide on my fridge to help me get my head around how many carbs are in the various "low carb" foods. I posted it a while ago here: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Good luck with your transition to low carb eating. Hope you stick around here. There's a lot of supportive people around to help.
