Newbie food inspiration

Hi,

I’m new here, I have been trying to loose weight for a few months, ideally I’d like to lose 3st eventually! I’m a student so I have a low budget and minimal meal prep time although I am happy to cook from fresh.

I am looking for food inspiration for healthy, easy, low budget food-ideas?!

X

Hi and welcome, Livken :)

If you have access to a freezer, then I suggest batch cooking, to save both time and money. Choose cheaper cuts of meat, go for the wonky veg, look at the produce in the reduced sections, share meals, cooking and costs with other students.

I agree with Lytham, that the Daily Diary is a great place for ideas and there are dozens of cheap, cheerful, tasty and nutritious recipes in the Topics section.

Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.
