Yep, time to get fit. We are going sailing in July and last year I was so unfit and struggling in the heat. Don’t want that to happen again! Bought myself a beautiful moleskin wellness journal and will do this. No excuses!

I was a liveaboard for four years and although it may seem healthy lifestyle, food and wine are central to survival! I dropped eating carbs (except fruit and green vegetables) in February. I've lost 8kg and am aiming to lose another 8kg. Do a bit of weight lifting too which should prepare you for heaving fenders aboard. Leave the VHF to somebody else and haul up those sails - OK, I know they're probably inmast reefing, but getting on the winch and hauling on the lines will help. Until then concentrate on eating well but find what suits you that doesn't feel like a diet. That's where I am at the moment. Oh, and the hardest was cutting down on the wine. Start getting used to more water.
