So, I have surprisingly lost some weight. I mean, it is a surprise because I was expecting it to be slower, I was, basically, trying to keep my expectations low so I don't lose my motivation. But it is actually going better than what I expected. There is the possibility of being water weight, which I am really happy to lose because with endometriosis I retain water a lot and it makes me feel really ill. Another thing is inflammation, I read from different sources that subcutaneous fat might be connected to inflammation...endometriosis definitely causes a lot of inflammation. Being able to lower my inflammation is crucial so I can better cope with my endometriosis pains.
Well, this helped me clear my goals. I am not just aiming for weight loss, but also reducing water retention and inflammation. To achieve these goals I will need to add anti-inflammatory foods. I am already having a morning green smoothie (kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, coriander, lemon, ginger, avocado, ice, and sometimes spirulina or green tea). What are your go-to to reduce inflammation and water retention?
