Hello I am trying to lose weight and also going through couch to 5k. So am exercising regularly, eating healthy staying between 1300-1700 calories a day and using the diet plate for portion size. I have lost 8lb and dropped a dress size but the scales are now going back up but the size smaller still fit! How can I fit smaller clothes but weigh more I'm so confused am I doing something wrong? 🤔

Confused
Depends how long you´ve been going and how long the scales have stalled. You could be retaining water for whatever reason - which is what I would expect if the change is fresh - or you could slowly be building more muscle (but normally that really is a slow process which would be offset by new loss if you´re still losing significant fat). I´d check my calories exactly for a couple of days and compare them against the NHS BMI calculator - your daily requirements may have changed because of your loss.
Thank you ☺️
Bmi states to have 1588-2042 could it be I'm going too low on calories?
I would say, yes you're going too low on calories. It goes against the grain to eat more but still lose weight, but believe me, it actually works 😊 if you are doing c25k, I would say your muscles are toning which will give you inch loss but not scale loss. Try increasing your calories, you may get a gain to start, but stick with it & you will start to lose again 😊
Well done on the c25k though, I have been thinking about it for ages, but not summoned up the courage yet 😁
Hello, Raine-49, and welcome to the forum 😊
Weight and size have always been a mystery to me. I've stopped being aggrieved that people 2 stone heavier wear the same size as me It may be that the increased exercise has given you more muscle, which is to the good.
I second what Shotglass advises: check your appropriate calorie range with the NHS BMI calculator nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we... , unless you have a healthy BMI, in which case it won't offer you a range.
