Last week 12.7st, this week 12.4st - very pleased! Have tried hard this week to eat smaller portions and be as active as I can. Still think I can be a bit stricter at weekends but as it is a lifestyle change not a diet as such then it is nice to get to Fridays and know I am allowed a glass or two of wine and some nice food. Sundays we try to eat as a family so inevitably that involves a Sunday roast. Whilst I am losing and have lost a substantial amount I will keep to this plan but if the loss becomes difficult I will think again. I bought a coat this week but a size smaller. It fits and looks great but does mean there is no room for weight gain. With half term coming up that is going to be tough! I hope everyone else's week is going well ☺

Friday weigh in
Well done ur doing well I lost a pound this week at slimming world it's hard to b good but it will help us in the long tears well done keep up the good work
Well done to you too on your loss. ☺
Brilliant Juliet444 that is a really good loss this week. Try and plan the holiday and create a nice menu and exercise regime. When I am off I like to work out twice a day to fill my time and plan some nice healthy meals. Try out the squat challenge or the Km challenge whilst your off and see how many you can get done in the hols. Only one week to go so you could start planning now
Have a lovely week and enjoy your FRIDAY YEAH
Thanks Trafford1 some very good advice. Having the kids off means time is limited buy definitely going to try to keep up the exercise ☺
Fantastic result - well done 😃
Thank you ☺
Hi Juliet,
Wow, that's a great result, Congratulations on losing 3 pounds this week. Hope you're enjoying wearing your new coat, and at least it will be a good incentive to keep that weight off, as I know you said it won't allow for any gains.
I definitely agree with you that it's better to think of weight loss in terms of a lifestyle change rather than a diet, and your plan to continue to enjoy weekends and allow yourself normal meals like Roast dinners is very sensible. You're more likely to stick with it for the longer term if it fits in with your lifestyle choices.
Wishing you another great week ahead.
Lowcal
Thanks Lowcal I have been having a wobble as to whether I should weigh in on a Monday and be abit stricter with myself but I'll continue this way for now. Yes it's a lifestyle change rather than part time dieting but I will try and keep healthy and active at the weekends. It's amazing how lethargic a big meal makes you feel, especially with wine! Have a good weekend and good luck with the weigh in on Monday! ☺
well done! im sure being able to wear your new coat will give you a boost!
as for the roast dinners don't give them up! but you can maybe make them a little healthier? I try and use coconut oil spray on my roast potatoes to make them a bit better and try to only do a little and the rest are sweet potato mini roasters (I also do my parsnips and carrots with the spray too as I think they taste sweeter like this than boiled)
Some good advice. Thank you. My portions are also too big so maybe I need smaller plates! ☺
Hi Juliet,
Congrats on another great result, so glad it's all working for you, at the end of the day family life is so important😃
So you got your new coat, what colour did you you go for ? I hope it was a nice bright one to show off the new you !!!
Have a lovely half term
😇
Ah thanks Flossie. Half term is going to be tough! We always go away to our cottage in Dorset which almost asks for more eating and drinking so abit of a tough habit to get out of. The new coat is actually a black puffa jacket. Waiting for another stone loss to buy the brightly coloured winter coat however it is a size smaller so being brave! Enjoy the rest of the weekend ☺
Hi Juliet,
Do like the sound of Dorset, never been there but have a great time with the family😃
A size smaller puffa jacket sounds good to me, hope you don't get to use it on your hols though !! lol
Just go and enjoy, it will all work out in the long run.
😇
