poor health problems, sinus issues causing problems with taste so no alcohol, and poor appetite. Why then have I put on 7lb in a fortnight? I'm definitely eating less, but still about the right no of calories (in the 1200-1500 region)

Off to the GP tomorrow. Last 3 days in EAU at local hospital, as bad AF-type problems started. Vaguely controlled now. Food at hospital was a bit mixed, some inedible (that's quite strong, coming from me, I wouldn't be the weight I am if I was a picky eater) and only drinking water, so I was rather shocked when I weighed myself today and was heavier than before I was admitted!
Hoping GP will refer me for further tests. quite a few options were at least ruled out by blood tests while at the hospital, so that's good.
Sleeping pattern was fine apart from hospital, the nurses have to wake you up about every 2 hours for BP, temperature measurements.
Hopefully things will become learer with time moreless
Only slightly and after I've been on my feet for a while. Doctor spent quite a bit of time poking my ankles and calves but couldn't make her mind up. I concluded from this that any swelling must be pretty minimal.
trying to do a little exercise (very, very little amount, honest) or keep a bit active but still a little bit breathless when walking. Frankly I feel so bloated, it's as if I've had the most enormous Xmas dinner twice! (and it's a very long time since I've even approached that much food!).
Perhaps it is just fluid and I will start to subside soon
I thought I was getting away with eating gluten, but when I started losing weight and gave up gluten again, my waist went down about four inches in weeks, and I have lost another two inches in the months since.
This all started after I had a cardiac ablation S11m - I've not had this sort of issue before. I guess I'll just have to prod the cardiologist to make a few/lot more tests when I see him in the New Year.
I had two cardiac ablations, and, initially, they did not help much: I think they stopped the atria fibrillating, but also stopped them beating. They wanted to pace the atria, but the atrial lead was out of position, and they said that replacing it would have a one in 200 chance of killing me, and I was a disabled powerchair user until they changed the pacemaker and inserted an additional atrial lead... and I have gone from powerchair user to (sometimes) walking 50km a week.
I think I've just caught up after being woken continually through the night at the hospital for ecgs, BP and temperature measurements and attempts to read my pulse!
At least I haven't had any disagreement about the problem being cardio....
