I have previously lost 4st and have put 1 and a half stone back on.....maintaining is just as hard as losing so I'm assuming I have not learned as I have gone along and have dropped back into old bad habits....im aiming to get at least 1 stone off and keep it off this time without struggling along the way. I love to eat healthy foods and wish I would not give in to temptation so easily. So.....here goes guys, wish me luck and here is to my new lifelong decisions x

Hello Julie5353 and welcome 😊

I read some wise words recently: "If the way in which you lose weight is unsustainable then your results are going to be unsustainable". That ties in with you wanting a lifelong plan, not one you're desperate to see the back of when you reach your target weight.

If you follow this link, you’ll find a list of all the forum has to offer healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... The best advice I can give is to get involved as much as possible.

You could start by joining today's weigh in. It runs on mutual supprt so the idea is that you read the other posts and reply to some to give a bit of encouragement, then add your start weight and anything else you want to say about your plans and goals in the box at the end that says "Reply to..." Joanney69 and the rest of the team will make you very welcome.

This Newbie pack has all the information you need to find your way around and to get started healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

We also ask that you read this information about internet privacy and security healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

I see you have not locked your post. This means that it, and any replies, can be shared around the Internet by Twitter, Facebook etc (see the logos below your post); for this reason, some members are unwilling to reply to unlocked posts.

Wishing you all the best and I hope you become an active member of the forum 😊

By the way, it would be interesting to know how you found your way here.

Hi BridgeGirl, what do you you mean by ‘locked your post’? I’m not sure I knowingly do this with mine? 😐🤔

Hi. When you create a post, you're given the options of who can see it: "Anyone" or "Only community members". If you select "Anyone", your post is open to be used around the web: you'll see the Fb and Twitter logos under the post above. It's an extra layer of privacy to make your posts for this community only.

If you've posted without locking and want to change, you go to the v beside More, select Edit, then make your change.

I want to say thanks for being so interactive and supportive around the forum. That's what keeps things running around here and we need more of it :)

Hope to see you later at the weigh in

Thanks, I’ll have a look at my posts, I don’t recall seeing that pop up as an option, I’ll look at my settings.

I’ve posted in the weigh-in too 😊

Happy to be interactive - I find it really helps, so will join in as much as I can, like everyone, some days are easier / less busy than others

It's just an option when you create a new post.

I think that this happens to everyone. I keep thinking about what I can eat when I’ve lost all my weight. This is wrong!! I’ve realised that I’ll have to continue with how I’m eating now, weigh myself weekly and to continue with the calorie counting at maintenance level and as soon as the weight starts to increase, I’ll need to cut back.

Good luck with your weight loss and don’t beat yourself up about the weight gain.

You're right. You need to lose weight in a way you can sustain which is why we advise eating as much as you can, within your calorie range, and consistent with losing weight, so you can reduce gradually as you do.
