Starting today! Weight 13 stone 12 pounds and am eventually trying to achieve 10st 10Lbs. Was previously 16st 10Lbs, lost a bit, stalled, then joined weight watchers. Weight watchers had me thinking about food ALL the time though and how much I could eat for my “points” so don’t think it’s for me, certainly not for the longer term. Off to see a nutritionist tomorrow to help me get started and to identify foods that are anti inflammatory to help manager my arthritis better so all good. Have enjoyed reading all the posts on the forum so will hopefully be able to contribute over the coming months.
Newbie: Starting today! Weight 1... - Weight Loss Support
Newbie
Congratulations! I’m in the same boat! Yesterday was a wake up call. My visceral fat level was 11...1 under the “high alert” category...changes have to be made. Starts today. Good luck to you too!
Welcome Camerahappy to our friendly forum
Why not start your journey with us today by recording your weight in the Tuesday Weigh in, they will be very happy to have you join them - here is the link - healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
We have quite a few members who have done WW or are doing it. Personally I think WW gives the idea that there is a start and end date, when in fact weight loss is about finding a healthy eating plan that will be sustainable for life. Diets just don't work. Other benefits of using this forum are it's free and we are here 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to offer support. We find the most successful losers are those that take part on a regular basis and we hope that you will join in daily and make the most of all that we have to offer.
This is a good place for a chat or to ask questions - healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Good luck with the nutritionist tomorrow.

Camerahappy, in recognition of your weight loss journey so far and the hard work put in, would you like me to change your newbie badge for a 2st 7lb badge (our badges go up in 1lb increments for the first 7lbs then half stone increments).
Sorry, I should have said congratulations on your loss so far
(getting ready for work!!! apologies)
Oh my goodness I could have written that, except Inside Slimming World. I need help and a buddy to chat to and share ideas. I get married next June and don't want to be a blob on our special day. How do I record my weight on here? Already finding it all very confusing 🙈
Good morning Ludsa and welcome
It looks like you found the weigh in without any help - good work! Just pop back there, read the opening post and take your cue from there.
I'll give you the links lucigret gave Camerahappy, above.
Here's where you can have a chat about what's going on for you today healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

I assume you're wanting a change from Slimming World/dieting and looking for a healthy lifestyle to last you for good. Many of us have found the 12 week plan a good starting point. It's important that you get your calorie range from the NHS BMI calculator as the 1400 figure you will see is generic and suits very few of us.
Wishing you well and I hope you'll become and active member of the Forum
