Welcome Brightdayz Sorry to hear that SW & WW didn't pan out and I hope you find a permanent home here. Definitely a warm, friendly and helpful family here with only your best interests at heart.

You mention 1400 calories, which is a generic figure for women. Check out the NHS BMI calculator online which will supply you with a tailored number of calories specifically for you.

Don't be surprised if the figure it gives you is actually higher. It's designed to allow you to lose weight at a sensible rate and at a level where the body and mind doesn't react negatively and lead to failing (yet again).

Good luck!

Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum Brightdayz

You are not the first to not get on well with SW. However, I hope we can provide the group support and encouragement that is so essential for weight loss success.😊

You are also correct in that 1400 is low for many people so please check your calorie target using the NHs BMI checker (link in the Newbie Club) which I'd like to invite you to join. We hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header and a link to the 12 week plan, so please take the time to read it carefully.

Wishing you all the best

Anna

So worry to hear SW & WW haven’t work s for you.

I hope u find something that does.

I found SW amazing & have lost 3 stone.

Good luck with whatever plan you follow. I wish you every success.

Xx

If you eat too little you will actually store the fat and burn muscle instead. You may lose at first but it will stop and may even gain. I did that for months and it was all wrong. It took forever to get my body out of that cycle to burn fat again. Don't make that mistake. Less is not better. Alot of healthy food fuels the body and starts the fat burning process. Good luck.

I’ve been stuck in this rut exactly what you are saying for years now I literally can’t eat over about 1200 cals , now I think I need to eat more to lose but it sounds crazy ... I can’t lose weight and slowly put on two stone in 2 years like just suddenly . Thanks for your advice x
