Ok, ashamed to say I currently weigh in at 110k. I have an under-active thyroid and although I wont use it as an excuse, weight loss is slow and and I become defeated very quickly. Would love to hear other peoples tops tips and challenges. Oh and I hate the gym...anything but the gym!!!!!!!

Weight loss is slow, if it's the sort of loss that will say lost, so you're not alone there
My suggestion would be to put any big numbers to one side, if you can, and take it one kilo at a time.
If you're going to use the 12 week NHS plan which many of us, including me, have found a great starting point, please be aware that you need to get an appropriate calorie range from the NHS BMI calculator: the 1400 figure you may see is a generic number, unlikely to suit many of us.
The only other thing to say is come here often, get involved; you don't need to post about yourself, just join in with events and chats and challenges. The link Minniewinny has given you will help you find your way around
Walk for enjoyment with a group... I'm sure there are walking groups nearby.
Aqua fit can be fun.
Zumba dancing is all the rage here and it's a laugh. I never go to a gym
No need to feel ashamed here, helprequired, great to have you accompany the rest of us on our journey!
Hi helprequired and welcome. My starting weight is similar to yours - around 108 kg and I also have an under active thyroid so can relate. I've been on here just over a week and been following the NHS 12 week plan which is really helping, alongside the daily diary and other threads on this forum - including the weekly weigh in. I've lost just over a kilo so far which has encouraged me. I'm also using my fitness pal to record and calculate calories which takes a lot of the faff out of it. Are you into swimming at all? I am a swimmer rather than a gym-mer and certainly not a runner! Good luck with your journey. Rachel
I have one too. Only take 25g tablet - sister says it should be more. Not sure what I weigh in Kgs - too many - I know the stones but am ashamed to admit it. Going to be slim and lovely for my birthday in August 2019 - that is the plan.
