I’m new to this place but I have been trying to lose weight in the past and not successfully done so apart from put money into other people’s services and I have been to the doctor s today and the locus nurse recommended this site to me so here I am sitting at a boring meeting where I’m treasurer waiting to pay the speaker and surfing the pages reading this site. A year ago my auntie told me I was fat and wouldn’t be here in two years if I didn’t do something about it a year on I’ve lost a few lbs but have stones still to o so I thought I’d seek help in reaching my goal being as I’m unable to do a lot of exercise as I’ve injured my back and I’m in constant pain and waiting a clinic appointment to see what can be done whilst I’m living on 8 pain killers per day which mean I don’t get properly hungry so I pick or eat very little neither of which are helping me reach my goal. I don’t feel attractive or good about this and want to lose weight for myself so I’m still here to go and torture my aunt next year.

Good luck with your first week.
Welcome Tinribs50 and congrats for losing a few pounds. Sorry to hear about the pain you're having to deal with. Is this something that can be changed?
For now, follow the link that Rose had supplied you. I and many others here follow the NHS 12 week plan and there is a link on the Newbie thread. My suggestion would be to download that and take your time to familiarise yourself with it.
When it comes to change, try not to steer clear of terms such as 'no' or 'I can't' and your journey is likely to be a lot smoother.
Good luck on your journey.
His tinribs50,
You've come to the right place for support, great advice .
Take care
Gary
Hello and welcome to the forum. Good luck with your weight loss journey, and to “torturing your aunt” next year!! 😂
Hi Tinribs50,
I only found this site last week, and was feeling really depressed thinking there was no way I was ever going to lose weight on my own, but a week down the line I feel a lot better knowing that I now have this group to help me and lovely people on here to help me through. Good luck to you and a warm welcome
