Hi I need to lose around 3 stone to make my bmi healthy again. I'm at the heaviest I've ever been and feel so uncomfortable in my clothes. My motivation isn't the best as I love my food too much, but I realise if I don't do something now it will only get worse. I turnt 30 this year and I feel as though this is the year! It's got to be done this year.. Wish me luck π

I'm using the NHS plan and losing weight slow but steady (I have 3 stone to lose, too) and feeling the benefit in my clothes - I'm not ready to go down a size yet but just wondering how I squeezed those extra 12 lbs into my existing ones!
Wishing you lots of luck on your journey! Something that is helping me stems from a course on mindfulness I attended this year. First and foremost, be kind to yourself. This is harder than I thought, but does make a real difference in the way you approach life. Secondly, try eating one of your meals mindfully. I was amazed at the difference this made. Eating slowly and thoughtfully, experiencing all the different flavours and textures of your food, is an eye opener. I tend to do this over lunch (when I'm most often on my own) but have tried to slow down the family evening meal a bit too. Good luck βΊπ
I try to make my food as colourful as possible too - one of my friends jokes with me about eating the rainbow, but colourful food is more enjoyable to eat. I cooked a recipe the other week and although it tasted fine, my cat's dinner looked more appetising π and I definitely won't be making it again!
Get rid of the temptations in your cupboards, enjoy shopping for healthy foods, enjoy cooking them and most importantly, take time to enjoy eating them. I know I eat less when the TV is turned off and I take the time to really enjoy the meal. Good luck x
Good luck Nikkired30
