NHS is best

Hi all, just starting out again with the eatwell diet. I started following the NHS diet sept as part of a group using it to educate. I lost over 16 pounds. I had an operation after some emergency admissions to hospital (ongoing condition) so had it interrupted and still recovering.

I started Weight watchers over a week ago but do not like/understand their system as I feel there is not enough portion/nutritional/general health and fitness information. I could be wrong but following their plan I gained weight this week and was hungry throughout, something I did not experience with the NHS one.

So, here I am again only following it online. I would love to hear comments from anyone who has done this for some time.

Hi and welcome, Salmacg :)

We have many members successfully following the 12 week plan and if it worked for you before, chances are that it will work for you again :)

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header, so please take the time to read it carefully.

Wishing you all the best :)

Hi and welcome!

You're back in the right place, salmacg ! I did WW for years on and off. They were always tweaking their system, points etc. I'm sure they do this to keep the whole business of weightloss something divine and mystical, the secrets of which only they are privy to, and they will only divulge those secrets if you keep paying them!

So now you have remembered that you don't need to pay anything, there are no mystical secrets, it is really very simple - eat healthy, eat less!

Welcome back!

Hi Salmacg I see you are maybe in my area from a past post. It was terrifically windy yesterday (Wed) no doubt you agree. I need someones arm n ow when crossing the road but have found everyone helpful. You said you found the weigh-inb Monday hard to find. I did too for a long time! If you havent found it yet Go into NHS 12 week diet and look on links till you find it for your day. Of course you may be ok now Good luck
