Hi. My eating has got completely out of control recently. I've had quite an unhealthy relationship with food for a long time now and I try to stick to one plan or another but only manage a few weeks at a time. I was looking for something that could completely change they way I think about food and can be a lifelong change, not just a short term fad. I originally planned on waiting until after the new year to start as I thought there was no point starting now, especially as I have my husband's birthday, my son's birthday and my own birthday within the first week and a bit of the new year. Then yesterday, I realised it was a month until my birthday and I thought, I can either carry on as I am and potentially put on more weight between now and then or I can make a start and try to have some weight off by then. So here I am! I had hoped the 12 week plan would have a diet sheet that I can follow but maybe it's better that it doesn't as I'll have to learn for myself what I should eat! My BMI is 35.2 and I have 4.5 stone to lose.

Wishing you all the best on your journey
Thank you
I'm a bit luckier, I've already lost 12 lbs but I want to lose another 2 stone so I can have a better BMI. Although I lost my weight just by giving up snacks, I keep falling off the wagon and eating all the things I should not and that annoys and depresses me. I find it is the stressful times that cause me grief so try taking it easy on yourself. I've decided to loss one stone for 2018 and another one for 2019, why not try something similar.
Thanks Greyone. Snacking is a huge problem for me! I get so down if I don't have something nice to eat at night when watching TV (it's never just one bar of chocolate either!) and the bulk of my weight problems comes from my snacking habit. I know it'll be hard but I'm going to try mindfulness and distraction (plus early nights!). I'm hoping to lose on average 1-2lbs per week so all going well, this time next year I should hopefully be close to target :).
Hi Greyone well done for your loss so far and you have started a bit the way I did 9 weeks ago. I had a chest infection and lost about 7lbs and when I started to feel a bit better I decided to eat healthier and carry on losing and have never looked back. We all fall of the wagon sometimes because we are just human. I have learned to stop feeling guilty when that happens and start again.
Hope you have a great week.xxx
Welcome to the group Fiona09. What a great attitude, you are totally right that starting straight away may have its downfalls, but it would happen at any time you were to start.
Just start with small goals and if you have an occasion where you eat a bit more start again the next day. I started about 9 weeks ago and decided whatever I start at in the new year will be my new start goal for 2018.
Have you had a look at the Newbie club page? It gives you all the information you will need to move forward on your journey.
Good luck!
Good attitude!! Welcome to the community!
