Hi folks. I'm new to this community. I live in beautiful Cornwall, close to the Tamar Bridge. I'll be 60 next summer, (2018) and hope to shed some unwanted weight before then. I'm currently 5 stone overweight with associated health problems: hypertension, pre-diabetic and COPD. My weight has remained the same for 4 years, which I guess is a kind of positive. I'm pretty positive about life and hope that I can share information, support and encouragement with the community. I'm especially interested in tips on low salt, low sugar eating. Please do come and say 'Hi'. I'm happy to buddy up with someone who lives locally for healthy walks and other activities.

Hi and welcome to the forum TooManyLbs haven't been to Cornwall for years, used to holiday down there in my younger days :)

Re buddying up at the top if you click on your name it will bring a drop down list where you can click on 'People near me' and others that has done this in your area will show up :)

Have a look at the 12 week plan in the link that Moreless has given you and also there are plenty of recipes in the Topic sections ;)

Daily Diary - info in the Newbie Club, is a great way to look at when others are eating and get some different ideas ;)

Wishing you all the best on your journey :)
