Is loose skin inevitable
Do you have loose skin or are you just afraid you may get it. I suppose it may depend on how much you have lost- I have lost just under 2 stone and not had any problems with loose skin. Strength and toning exercises should help firm up the muscles and skin and if weight loss is slow I am sure your body will adjust. If you have a lot of weight to loose I think looking at the photos of some members who have done a before and after I did not notice any loose skin. Maybe those who have lost a lot of weight will be able to reassure you and mention what they did that they think helped
Hi and welcome, Beth
Saggy skin will really depend on your age, how much weight you have to lose and the rate at which you lose it. Younger skin, that has been subjected to slow weight loss, will fare better than older skin, but there are no guarantees, either way. To my way of thinking, it's better to be a little saggy, than to have the health implications of being overweight.
