Hard to start: Everyday I say to myself... - Weight Loss Support
Hard to start
Yes, I have always done that but this time was different. I was fed up with feeling fat. Try planning what you will eat for the next day. You can do that in Dear Diary post. At first you may have to force yourself to eat it but after several days you may see a loss and that will keep you going. Good luck to you!
Thank you for reply..i really must start..my daughter is getting married next year and I need to lose weight
Start now. With your very next meal. It won't be easy whether it's now or Monday. Things will not change unless you take the first step. You're gonna look great for that wedding!
OOO at Geri_rose so know that start tomorrow feeling, but as they say tomorrow never comes you need to start today
I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.
If you just post a few words on the October Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey
i know that 'tomorrow' feeling too well... or i will start on Monday as ive done it too many times... you got to get your head in the right place and just start it... there is never a good time to start a diet so might as well start it now and resist the friday night treats x!
You are so right never a good time to start but start I must..my daughter who is a size 8 keeps saying remember mum you will look back on my wedding photos and wish you had of lost weight🙈
I am literally in this situation right now! Struggle so much and one slip up and it’s totally off the wagon
we all have slipups now and then but you got to deal with it straight away and get back on the wagon.. remember 1 slipup wont ruin your diet its usually everything that follows that gets out of control that does.. !
Hi Geri rose
You have started ,by coming on here your journey begins .
We are all in this together.
Don't put off till tomorrow what you can start today .
Gary
I have stayed the same for the last few weeks.
I have just started to get to grips with things .
Good luck ,I'm sure you will get there.
Gary
Hi there, I totally agree with you that it is hard to start - it took me years. Have a good look around and if you are still struggling change one thing or one meal to start with and ease in gently. For example swopping cereal/toast for overnight oats/porridge for breakfast will make a difference as I guarantee that you won't be as hungry by lunchtime. Don't believe me? Give it a try and find out! Good luck with it. James
My favourite is a small cup of oats with the same amount of unsweetened almond milk, 2 tea spoons of chia seeds, 2 teaspoons of 100% peanut butter and a small quirt of maple syrup (I don't add this now but I recommend you do at the beginning and reduce over time). Put in a sealed jar in the fridge overnight. In the morning add a chopped banana and away you go.
Thank you..i will give it a try
