Have you ever sat at the hairdresser's, looked in the mirror and thought 'How did I manage to get like this?' That was me this morning. At 5ft 2 and weighing 90 kilos, I am very overweight. I want to start the 12 week programme again.
Would love to hear your stories, successes and struggles. Hopefully this will help me to get on track again.

Yes every time I go, that's probably the reason why I only go once a year :/ I have actually just stumbled across the 12 week plan and thought I must give this a go at just shy of 22st being 5ft 5 I am just about desperate to try anything so lets see what the first week brings good luck with everything.
Hi Stacey, I really do believe that sensible eating and moving a bit more can work wonders. Let's hope there is a bit less of us next time we go to the hairdresser's!
Hi Shirley!
That was exactly me just after Christmas this year! It was at the hairdressers when I realised just how bad things had got too! I'm 5 foot 2 as well and at the start I weighed 13 stone 4 (not sure about kilos, but I don't think that's too far from your weight).
I started the 12 week plan in January and things have been rocky and I haven't lost as much as I had planned but I've lost around 25 pounds in total. Every time I feel a bit disappointed I remember that if someone had told me in January that I could be 25 pounds lighter by summer I wouldn't have believed them!
I've been at a plateau for a couple of months and have just put a few pounds back on so I'm starting the plan again properly this week! Calorie counting everything, exercise every day if possible!
Start today and think where you could be in 6 months time!! It'll be hard to get there but totally worth it!
Thanks for the reply. you have done so well! I would love to be that much lighter. Do you mind me asking how old you are? Do you think age makes a difference? I am 54 (but still very much alive!) and am wary I have to do something now! Hang on in there!
I'm 23, but I don't see why age would make too much of a difference! My mum is your age and she hasn't been following the plan but has lost around 2 stone over the past couple of years and has settled at around 12 stone (but she is quite tall so that looks quite good on her!)
I guess from an exercise point of view you might feel like you don't want to do certain types of exercise. But people of all ages on here have tried the couch to 5k! Or even have seen a lot of success by just incorporating more walking into their daily routine! Whatever suits you best!
Make today the day you start and don't look back!!
I hate the thought of running! However, I like cycling and horse riding. I will have to do more of both. It is my husband's birthday today so we are off out for pancakes later, after that I am going to start again. Thanks for the pep talk! Keep on enjoying your succes.
I sit there with the cape tightly wound around my neck looking at all that neck fat bulging out, the swoop of the fabric as it skims over my belly making me look like a circus tent. And whats the deal with the lighting - do they choose those lights just so you'll look like rubbish?
Hate it !
I am only 2 days in so no successes or any other thing to speak of.
Feel like this when ever I see photos of myself! I'm two weeks in and half stone down have gained a lot of weight since this time last year but joining this forum is a positive start! Good luck
I feel the same so I tend not to go. Hence my very long hair! Hopefully by the end of the year, I'll have no problem going to the hairdresser. Good luck with your journey.
